Free Trial Membership Workflow

The free trial signup process within SPARK is intricately tied together with a powerful automation system called Ignite. Ignite helps nurture new prospective students through the process of signing up for a trial, converting them into paying members, and even sends them encouraging messages through the critical first few months of training.

*Every new prospective student must be entered into Spark in a specific way to receive the correct email and SMS automations via Ignite to maximize the chances of turning them into a life-long student.

**If entered incorrectly, or if certain steps are skipped, the prospective student may receive the wrong set of messages, causing confusion and/or annoyance.

The following steps outline the free trial workflow; what steps you will need to take, and what Ignite is doing behind the scenes.

Free trials step 1 – Lead Capture

There are two main entry points for a prospective student to begin their Ignite journey; Online and in-person lead capture forms. One of these forms needs to be filled out to ensure that we don’t lose a potential student early in the process. If they do not follow through with scheduling a free trial the same day that they fill out the lead capture form, they will receive a series of communications to gently guide them towards scheduling their Intro Class.

Online Leads

Online leads fill out the lead capture form on your website.

In-person Leads

You can have a walk-in lead sign the “Check-in form” on the iPad so they are entered into Spark and Ignite can follow up if they don’t schedule and intro while they are visiting your facility.

Free trials step 2 – Scheduling an Intro Class

Online Leads

When a prospective student completes the lead capture form on the website, they are automatically forwarded to the Intro Class Scheduler on the website. If they complete a booking, they are presented with an option to sign the waiver to “save time at check-in”.

If they do not complete a booking, Ignite will send them program-specific communications to get them pumped to sign up.

In-person Leads

If a prospective student is in the building, it is your prime objective to get them scheduled for an intro class. You can load each program’s scheduling widget on to the iPad’s home screen for easy access. Scheduling an intro class will create a contact profile for them in Spark.

If they do not complete a booking, and you have had them sign the check-in form, Ignite will send them program-specific communications to get them pumped to sign up.

Free trials step 3- Checking in a lead when they show up to the intro class

Spark and Ignite work together to send out intro class reminders.

For Students that show up

When a prospective student shows up for their trial, follow the check-in process:

  1. Check the “Today’s Schedule” widget on your SPARK dashboard for the student’s booking. Click “Action” and then “Mark as showed”. Example:

2. Check their account to see if they have signed a waiver. When they sign a waiver online, a tag is automatically added to their account. Example:

*If they have not yet signed the waiver, adult and child waiver links have been pre-loaded onto the iPad home screen for easy access.

Free trials Step 4 – 10-day Free Trial Signup Process:

  1. Set up a Free Trial Membership
  2. Set up Rollover Membership to “replace” the free trial membership on day 11
  3. After you save the membership setup screen you will be forwarded to this screen:
  1. Click “Skip” and you will be forwarded to the POS. Complete step “d” then continue on POS on step “e” below.
  2. Open the “Enrollment Kiosk” on the iPad to have the new student complete the agreement.
  3. On the computer, you will be forwarded to the POS screen to complete the transaction for the uniform deposit. Follow the instructions on the provided tutorial video above)
